Proposition 65 (California, USA)
The warning(s) on this page is/are made available in compliance with an act of the U.S. State of California known as “Proposition 65.” Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, aims to protect drinking water sources from chemicals that the State of California has identified as having the potential to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive effects.
The law requires businesses to provide a “clear and reasonable warning” of potential exposure to the listed chemicals, which include substances commonly used in the manufacture of medical devices. Therefore, although the warning may seem severe, it does not mean Yasui products do not comply with relevant international and national standards.
